We enjoy cleaning beaches, creating employment and making art, whilst supporting high impact coastal communities and marine conservation.
Through your purchase of our flip flop art, you help us with marine conservation, create & maintain sustainable livelihoods for hundreds of artisans and their families in Kenya. As we grow into new markets and extend our product portfolio we are providing you with more options to support our cause. Proceeds from sales, besides employment, go toward education, healthcare, skill training, scholarships, hot lunches, health and community development and supporting our employees with their basic needs. We want to amplify our impact by focusing on specific projects that are close to our hearts and hopefully yours.
Ocean Sole Africa’s core values are supporting impoverished coastal communities to help us clean beaches. Our raw materials for our art is from the ocean and waterways. It is essential we fund beach clean-ups, purchase ocean trash and help with responsible disposal of the trash. We are always in need of support to keep these beaches clean and help local communities recycle. Whether it is donating for a specific beach clean up, supporting coastal communities for recycling, buying machinery, or sponsoring a beach after yourself, you can help.

Empowering our employees and our communities is at the heart of who we are. Our entire business model is to leverage the capabilities of women and to empower them to provide economically toward their families. We do this through projects and education. Whether it is using our flip flop art offcuts to make mattresses, making yoga blocks, designing curtains out of flip flop material or sponsoring entrepreneurial education. Whether it is donating for a specific course, community project, or employment welfare, we are always in need of additional support to accelerate our community impact.

We have lofty goals at Ocean Sole Africa. Recently, our interest has started to focus on the plight of our endangered species. Because we are here in Kenya, we see the reality of the issues of poaching, illegal animal trade and other human activities that are destroying our wildlife and ecosystem
For that reason, we are now launching the Solemate Project. This endeavour is to bring attention to our endangered species and the organisations that support conservation. Taking our ability to make beautiful art — we have a goal to make as many life-size endangered species as we can afford!!!
We envision taking our masterpieces on tour to bring awareness to these issues by partnering with various Foundations, charities, individuals and other entities who are serious about working in the field to advocate and preserve our cherished wildlife.
